What is Diamond?

A diamond is a mineral composed essentially of carbon, crystallized at extremely
high temperatures and pressures; 93 to 124 miles below the earth's surface.
Diamond is the hardest of all known natural substances.

What is forging?

Forging is to form under heat & pressure by a mechanical or hydraulic press.

Forged alloy parts are heated then compressed into shape under great pressure- Much like the natural process of composed diamonds. This type of forging process heats but does not melt the alloy materials.
This is the reason forged wheels have more strength with Less weight.
Less weight immediately equals faster acceleration, superior braking and much better handling.

The alloy Forgiato uses is 6061t6, this is the same alloy found in multi million dollar jets and advanced aeronautical and weapons systems. The raw alloy ingots are never fully melted into a liquid state; therefore, there is no way for impurities or air bubbles to become a part of the alloy.

The final product from this type of structure and process translates into superior surface finishes, for chroming, painting and/or powder coating; with increased strength and less weight. Combine this with Forgiato's style, experience and know-how; you end up with a wheel that is strong, light and beautiful.
